Visa Applications should be complete in all respects. It is mandatory to fill up all columns (information sought at A to J) should be carefully filled and no column should be left blank by the applicant. Non-compliance of these directions can lead to rejection of application for issue of Visa and there will be no refund of money in any case.

Visa fees can be paid by VISA DANKORT at the Visa Counter at the Embassy.  The payment can also be made by bank transfer to Embassy of India, Copenhagen Account No. 4001-11421733.  A proof of payment has to be attached along with the application.

REGULAR TOURIST VISA

Tourist Visa for a maximum period of 5 years from date of issue. For 5 years Tourist Visa, biometrics and interview are mandatory. Tourist visas are non-extendable and non-convertible. Visa holders going for Tourism are required to get themselves registered with the concerned Foreigner's Regional Registration Office (FRRO) if their stay exceeds 90 days.

Copy of flight tickets to India. (not applicable for Travel Document/Alien passport holders)

An invitation letter from host in India (an e-mail invitation giving complete name and address and telephone number of the host will also be okay) or details of confirmed hotel booking/s at the places of stay in India (not applicable for travel document/Alien passport holders)

Proof of availability of sufficient funds to meet expenses during your stay in India ( letter from the applicant's bank to the effect or a screenshot of your account statement showing the balance in your account will be accepted )

BUSINESS VISA

Businessmen or Employees of a company representing the company visiting India for the purposes of business are issued Business Visas. . Visa holders going for Business are required to get themselves registered with the concerned Foreigner's Regional Registration Office (FRRO) if their stay exceeds 180 days.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ISSUE OF REGULAR BUSINESS VISA

A business letter from the Danish company introducing the applicant, stating the purpose of the business visit and undertaking responsibility, including financial, of the person representing the company.

A letter of invitation from an Indian company should also accompany the Visa Application.

 

TRANSIT VISA
Persons travelling through India to a third country may apply for Transit Visa. Transit visas are valid for halts of up to 72 hours in India within 15 days from the date of issue of the visa and must be obtained before departure from Denmark. Transit visas cannot be obtained from immigration counters at port of entry in India. Evidence of onward travel to a third country from India, such as a confirmed air ticket, is required at the time of application.

STUDENT VISA
Student visas are issued for the duration of the academic course of study or for a period of five years whichever is less, on the basis of firm letters of admission from Universities/ recognised colleges or educational institutions in India. Change of purpose and institutions are not permissible. As processing student visas could take a long time, students applying for visas to study in India are advised to apply well in advance.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ISSUE OF STUDENT VISA

Provisional admission letter from a recognized educational institution in India

Letter of guarantee from the applicant’s institute in Denmark introducing the applicant and stating the purpose of visit.

A letter of financial support from parent / guardian along with a bank guarantee.

JOURNALIST VISA
Journalist visas are issued to professional journalists and photographers for visiting India. On some occasions, the applications for Journalist Visas need to be referred to the authorities in India and hence processing time could be long. On obtaining the visa, the journalists are advised to contact on arrival in New Delhi, the External Publicity Division of the Ministry of External Affairs and in other places, the Office of the Government of India's Press Information Bureaus. Journalist visas are issued for a period up to 3 months with single or double entry. Details may be obtained from the Embassy. As prior approval of the Government of India is required for such visas, applicants are advised to apply well in advance.

Conference Visa

Conference visas are issued for attending international conferences/ seminars /meetings in India. Issue of visa is subject to the approval of the Government of India for holding such conferences. As processing of conference visas take longer time, applicants applying for such visas are advised to apply well in advance with full particulars and all necessary documents pertaining to their participation in the conference.

REQUIREMENTS for issue of Conference Visa:

A letter from the Danish institute introducing the applicant, stating the purpose of visit.

A letter of invitation from the Conference Organizers should also accompany the Visa Application

A clearance letter from the Ministry of External Affairs, Home Affairs and Nodal Ministry are essential for the application to be complete. (Please contact the conference organizers to obtain these 3 clearances)



ENTRY VISA (Visa to visit family)

Entry Visas are usually issued to persons of Indian origin/ persons married to people of Indian origin who do not possess OCI cards. Entry Visas are also issued to people going to India for the purpose of adopting a child.
REQUIREMENTS for issue of Entry Visa (Family Visit)

EMPLOYMENT VISA

Employment visas are issued to skilled and qualified professionals or persons who are engaged or appointed by companies, organizations, economic undertakings on employment in very senior level or skilled positions. If eligible for an Employment Visa, applicants will be granted a visa only for a maximum of one year initially. Extension, if required, has to be sought in India from the immigration authorities 6 months prior to the expiry of the visa. Registration within 14 days of arrival in India with the Foreigners' Regional Registration Office (FRRO/FRO) is compulsory.

Requirements for issue of Employment Visa:

For obtaining Employment visa, the minimum salary limit has been fixed at Rs. 16.25 lakhs per annum. For teaching faculty, the minimum salary limit is Rs. 9.10 per annum

A copy of the contract of employment/ engagement signed with the employer in India

A copy of the applicant’s Degree/Diploma

In case the applicant is going as an intra-company transferee, a letter of guarantee from the applicant’s Danish employer introducing the applicant

DIPLOMATIC /OFFICIAL VISA

Diplomatic Visas are issued to Diplomatic or Official Passport holders going to India for official/work related purposes.

RESEARCH VISA
Research Visas are issued to persons going to India as a part of a recognized Indian institution for the purpose of Research on a long-term basis.

Requirements for issue of RESEARCH VISA

Original Passport (valid for at least four months beyond the validity of visa).

Acceptance letter of admission to a recognized university/educational institution issued by the Institute/University

Synopsis of Research Proposal (In about 150 words and give full justification, including the benefits the applicant would get for doing the Research in India)

Documents of Bachelors and Master degree

Itinerary - mentioning details of places to be visited.

Guide consent letter to supervise the scholar.


9

Satisfactory evidence of financial support.

If you are a student in Denmark currently, a letter from the educational institution confirming the fact would also be required.

If your research is sponsored by an NGO, we would require all relevant information about it.

 

INTERN VISA(I)
Intern Visas are issued to persons going to India as a part of a recognized Indian institution for the purpose of Internship on a short or long-term basis as a part of their Bachelor’s or Master’s Program in Denmark/ job in Denmark.

Requirements for issue of Diplomatic Visa

1

Original Passport (valid for at least four months beyond the validity of visa).

INTERN(I) Visa Application should be filled online along with photograph and payment made. Thereafter, the uploaded application is to be printed and the same submitted along with the passport and photographs to enable us issue the visa

Invitation/contract letter from the Indian Company/educational Institution/ NGO concerned sponsoring for the internship program and clearly indicating the period of Internship.

Letter of reference from Danish Company/educational Institution/ NGO.

The intern Visa will be granted immediately after completion of graduation/ post graduation and the gap between the completion and the commencement of the internship should not be more than a year

Under no circumstances, the foreign national will be allowed to take up employment in India immediately after the completion of the internship. Conversion of Intern visa into Employment visa or any other types of visa will not be permitted, she/he will have to go back to the country of his/her origin/domicile and apply for Employment Visa



MEDICAL VISA
Requirements for issue of Medical Visa

FILM(F) VISA
Film Visas are issued to persons travelling to India for the purpose of research/shooting of a film or documentary. Details may be obtained from the Embassy. As prior approval of the Government of India is required for such visas, applicants are advised to apply well in advance.

Requirements for issue of Diplomatic Visa

Original Passport (valid for at least four months beyond the validity of visa).

Film(F) Visa Application should be uploaded online along with photograph and payment made. Thereafter, the uploaded application is to be printed and the same submitted along with the passport and photographs to enable us issue the visa

Proposals regarding the shooting of a feature film or television/cinema and reality TV show/ commercial TV serials ( Processing time maximum period of 60 days).

A foreign team may be allowed to shoot a feature film, wholly or partially, subject to the government conditions.


6

Four copies of the detailed shooting script in the case of feature film and detailed concept in case of TV show/TV serials, details of visiting film crew and location of the film shooting shall be submitted by the foreign team to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for scrutiny and clearance. Copies to be forwarded through Indian Embassy in Copenhagen (Application to be filled up for the shooting of a feature film/reality show and /or Commercial TV serials, along with an undertaking).

ANNEXURE II (FORM 2)

UNDERTAKING

With reference to my/our application to make a documentary film in India, I/we herewith undertake to abide by the regulations of the Government of India governing the making of such films.

2. I/we agree to attachment of a Liaison Officer during the entire duration of filming in India and to abide by his advice regarding the filming of any particular scene if the Government of India or State Government finds it essential to appoint such a Liaison Officer. In the event of a Liaison Officer being appointed, I/we agree to meet the expenses for the travel and stay of the Liaison Officer concerned. It is understood that failure to abide by the Liaison Officer’s advice regarding shooting of any particular scene may result in the immediate stoppage of any further filming and confiscation of the exposed film.

3. I/we agree that where archaeological monuments are concerned, we would furnish the application in required proforma with scripts/synopsis of the subject and content of the film and further that the decision of the Archaeological Survey of India on the filming of such monument will be final. I/we further agree that the team will follow the advice of the appropriate officer of the Archaeological Survey of India office nearby or on the spot, where so empowered by the appropriate officer.

4. I/we also undertake to show the film to a representative of the Government of India, if so requested, at least two weeks before final telecasting/screening, furnishing in advance a full translation in English of the Commentary. I/we further agree to abide by such advice as may be given by the representative with regard to alterations or excision of such parts of the films and the commentary as may effect a balanced and accurate presentation of the theme of the film.
